President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer

Daniel Wolfe has been with Harris & Harris Group since 2004 in a variety of roles. He currently serves as President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of the Company. In these roles, Daniel is responsible for day-to-day management of the operations, finance, legal and compliance functions of Harris & Harris Group. Daniel has significant experience in capital formation at all stages of a company’s evolution including sourcing and structuring of private, public and debt financings and identifying and evaluating M&A opportunities. He also established and manages Harris & Harris Group’s co-investment fund, H&H Co-Investment Partners, LLC. He is a current and past member of the board of directors of multiple privately held portfolio companies and one publicly traded portfolio company.

Prior to joining Harris & Harris Group, Daniel was a consultant to Nanosys, Inc. (from 2002 to 2004), to CW Group (from 2001 to 2004), and Bioscale, Inc. (from January 2004 to June 2004), and was the Co-founder and President of Scientific Venture Assessments, Inc., a provider of scientific analysis of prospective investments for private equity placements and of scientific expertise to high-technology companies (from February 2000 to January 2002). He was graduated from Harvard University (Ph.D. and A.M. in Chemistry). He was a NSF Predoctoral Fellow at Harvard, and his thesis advisor was Professor George Whitesides. He was also graduated from Rice University (B.A. in Chemistry), where he worked with Professor Naomi Halas, and his honors included the Zevi and Bertha Salsburg Memorial Award in Chemistry and the Presidential Honor Role. He has published over 15 articles in scientific peer-reviewed journals.
